Shift: Days (7a-7p)

Pay rate: $40-45 per hour BASED ON EXPERIENCE

Required: ACLS, BLS, NRP, 2+yrs primary Nursery RN exp. 50+mi from facility. Licensed to practice in AL (no NURSYS Hits)

• Please note, will be only nursery RN on the shift at times.

Must be comfortable with the responsibilities below

• Accepting infant in LD at delivery and admitting to Nsy Ability to work up sick infants i.e.
• O2, IV, blood draw, assist with intubation/ UVC, etc.
• Initiate transfer to another facility The Registered Nurse in the nursery holds shift accountability for providing care to Newborn Nursery patients during the immediate neonatal phase and newborn care by utilizing the Nursing Process in accordance with the state Nurse Practice Act and Hospital policy and procedures.
• The registered nurse demonstrates critical thinking skills, scientific judgement and leadership in the anticipation and planning for safe delivery of care; maintains clinical competencies through continuing education; delegates patient care priorities commensurate with the education and experience of the staff available; provides direction and supervision of assigned personnel delivering patient care.
