RN II - Emergency Department (CNA)

Job Summary

Provides professional nursing care to patients with acute illnesses, injuries, and emergency conditions. Performs rapid assessments, prioritizes treatment, and supports timely interventions while maintaining patient safety and quality care.

Education & Experience

• Associate's or Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (Required)
• Minimum 1–2 years of Emergency Department or acute care nursing experience (Preferred)

Licenses & Certifications

• Current RN license in state of practice (Required)
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (Required)
• Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification (Required)
• Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification (Preferred or based on facility requirements)

Key Responsibilities

• Performs rapid patient assessments and triages according to acuity.
• Monitors vital signs and identifies changes in patient condition.
• Administers medications, IV therapy, and emergency treatments as prescribed.
• Responds to medical emergencies, trauma, and critical situations.
• Collaborates with physicians and the emergency care team to coordinate patient care.
• Provides patient and family education and emotional support.
• Documents assessments, interventions, and patient outcomes accurately.
