About this role
Overview
Love working with kids? Want a team that has your back?
At Specialized Speech Center, we believe great therapy happens when therapists are supported, respected, and given time to do their best work. We’re a family-focused pediatric practice serving children across South Florida. We’re growing, and we’re looking for an Occupational Therapist to help build our Miami Gardens team.
This isn’t a high-volume mill. It’s a place where you’ll get to know your kids, celebrate their wins with their families, and work side by side with speech-language pathologists who care about the whole child.
Why you’ll love it here
- Competitive pay:
- Flexibility: [Set your own schedule / after-school hours / part-time and full-time options]
- A real team: OTs and SLPs collaborate on shared caseloads, so you’re never working in a silo
- Mentorship: New grads and therapists new to pediatrics get hands-on clinical guidance from experienced clinicians
- Growth: [CEU support / opportunities to grow into a lead or supervisory role]
- Steady caseload: [Established referral base, so your schedule fills quickly]
What you’ll do
- Evaluate and treat children with a range of needs: fine motor, visual-motor, sensory processing, self-care, and feeding
- Build creative, play-based treatment plans that make therapy fun
- Partner with families so progress carries over at home
- Collaborate with SLPs, physicians, and school teams
- Document clearly and on time (we’ll train you on our Medicaid and managed care documentation standards)
What you’ll bring
- Florida OT license (OTR/L), or license-eligible
- Master’s or Doctorate in Occupational Therapy (ACOTE-accredited)
- NPI number
- A genuine love of working with kids
- Pediatric experience is a plus, but new graduates are encouraged to apply
