  • Improve key accounting processes and controls, and update procedures.
  • Develop and grow the accounting team, and document policies and procedures.

MUST-HAVE REQUIREMENTS:

  • MSR accounting and valuation experience.
  • Experience with financial audits, internal controls, and regulatory compliance.

  • Strong written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Leadership ability to build engagement and trust, and to quickly establish credibility.

NICE-TO-HAVE:

  • Experience with debt reporting and lender covenant compliance.
  • Experience in change management and process improvement projects.
  • Experience leading matrix teams.
  • Career stability: at least one recent tenure of about 3 or more years with multi-year ownership of accounting operations, reporting, controls, audits, or MSR work.

DISQUALIFIERS:

  • No mortgage servicing accounting experience. General corporate accounting is not a substitute.
  • Experience primarily at small banks or small mortgage shops.
