Description

SAIC has an immediate need for a

Software Testing Engineer

to support the Precision Fires team supporting the Aviation and Missile Center located in

Huntsville, AL

onsite at

Redstone Arsenal

.

Job Responsibilities

• Assist the development of test plans, test schedule, and approach for all testing environments
• Writes test cases and scripts and identifies data for test scenarios
• Performs tests of software and/or IT systems to ensure proper operation and freedom from defects
• Supports verification activities on work products using defined methods, procedures and criteria with an appropriate verification environment
• Supports analysis of test results and resolution of open issues
• Documents and works to resolve all complex problem and reports progress on problem resolution to management

Qualifications

Required Education

• BS degree and two (2) years of practical experience; six (6) years of experience accepted in lieu of a degree

Required Clearance

• Must have an active Secret Security Clearance; US Citizenship required

Required Skills

• Understanding of software test methodologies
• Proven ability to lead large, multidisciplinary teams in organizationally complex environments
• Strong organizational and multitasking skills, with significant experience leading concurrent mission operations
• Working knowledge of test range planning and coordination
• Excellent communication skills—both written and verbal—with an ability to present to technical and non-technical audiences
• Experience working in a team-oriented, collaborative environment
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
• Strong attention to detail and follow-through skills
• Experience using version control software

Target salary range $60,001 - $100,000. The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors.
