Mechanical Engineer (MEP), Austin, TX (Remote to Start)

RGM Engineering, a 20-year-established commercial MEP firm in San Antonio, is expanding into Austin and looking for a mechanical engineer to help build the office. You’ll work from home at first, with a commercial office base planned as the market grows. A small ownership stake in the Austin area market is available for the right candidate.

Responsibilities

• Design commercial HVAC, plumbing, and mechanical systems
• Produce coordinated construction documents and models in Revit
• Perform load calculations and equipment sizing
• Coordinate with architects, engineers, contractors, and owners
• Support permitting, RFIs, submittals, and construction administration
• Help develop Austin-area client relationships

Requirements

• BS in Mechanical Engineering (ABET-accredited)
• Texas PE, or EIT/FE actively pursuing licensure
• Revit MEP proficiency
• Commercial MEP design experience
• Located in the Austin area; self-motivated in a remote setting

Preferred

• Existing Austin-area client or industry relationships
• Interest in business development and team building

Pay: $90 – 130K per year, depending on experience and licensure
