Role Overview:

The Backend Developer will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining scalable server-side applications and enterprise services. This position focuses on API development, database integration, application performance, and building secure backend systems that support business-critical applications.

Technical Skills & Development Expertise:

• Strong programming experience in Java, Python, C#, or Node.js.
• Hands-on experience with backend frameworks such as Spring Boot, Django, .NET Core, or Express.js.
• Strong knowledge of RESTful APIs, microservices architecture, and API integration.
• Experience with relational databases such as PostgreSQL, MySQL, Oracle, or SQL Server.
• Familiarity with NoSQL databases such as MongoDB, Redis, or DynamoDB.
• Understanding of data structures, algorithms, and object-oriented programming.
• Experience with messaging technologies such as Apache Kafka or RabbitMQ.
• Knowledge of cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
• Familiarity with Docker, Kubernetes, Git, and CI/CD pipelines.
• Understanding of authentication, authorization, API security, and application performance optimization.

Key Development Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable backend applications and services.
• Build and integrate REST APIs and microservices.
• Implement business logic, data processing, and database operations.
• Optimize application performance, scalability, and reliability.
• Develop secure application components and implement access-control mechanisms.
• Integrate backend services with front-end applications and third-party systems.
• Troubleshoot application defects and resolve production issues.
• Participate in code reviews, unit testing, and technical design discussions.
• Collaborate with frontend developers, QA engineers, DevOps teams, and architects.
• Maintain technical documentation and follow software development best practices.

Experience & Technical Competencies:

• 5+ years of experience in backend development or software engineering.
• Strong hands-on experience developing enterprise-level backend applications.
• Experience building APIs, database-driven applications, and distributed systems.
• Knowledge of Agile development and software development lifecycle practices.
• Strong debugging, analytical, and problem-solving abilities.
• Ability to work independently and collaborate with cross-functional teams.

Educational Background:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, or a related field.
• Master's degree is preferred.
• Relevant backend development or cloud certifications are an advantage.
