RoadOne IntermodaLogistics is seeking a motivated, hands-on Operations Manager to lead daily operations, support our dispatch and customer service teams, and drive operational efficiency. In this role, you’ll keep freight moving, strengthen driver and customer relationships, and help ensure operations run smoothly and cost-effectively.

Previous management experience is preferred, but experienced intermodal operations professionals ready for the next step are encouraged to apply.

What You’ll Do

· Lead Daily Operations: Oversee dispatch and customer service activities to ensure efficient scheduling, timely deliveries, and consistent service.

· Support Drivers: Manage driver relationships, address concerns, resolve challenges, and support retention.

· Drive Customer Satisfaction: Build customer relationships, resolve escalated issues, and maintain strong service and retention.

· Monitor Performance: Track customer KPIs, service levels, compliance requirements, and operational results.

· Control Transportation Costs: Manage port and rail demurrage, chassis utilization, detention charges, and other expenses.

· Optimize Dispatch: Review boards, driver assignments, routes, and loads to maximize productivity and minimize downtime.

· Manage Financial Accuracy: Review invoices, approve expenses, identify discrepancies, and dispute charges as appropriate.

· Collaborate Across Teams: Partner with leadership, dispatch, customer service, and other departments to resolve issues.

· Support Growth: Assist with rate quotes, route analysis, and opportunities to improve profitability.

· Build a Strong Team: Foster accountability, communication, and teamwork.

· Report on Results: Prepare operational reports to identify trends and inform decisions.

What We’re Looking For

· 1–3 years of transportation, intermodal logistics, drayage, or related operations experience required.

· Supervisory or management experience preferred.

· Strong knowledge of dispatch operations, driver coordination, and customer service.

· Familiarity with port and rail operations, demurrage, detention, and chassis management preferred.

· Sound judgment and problem-solving under pressure.

· Excellent communication, organization, and relationship-building skills.

· Ability to manage priorities in a fast-paced environment.

· Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and operational efficiency.
