Payroll Accountant

The Payroll Accountant is responsible for the processing of assigned areas of the payroll process, general ledger & reconciliation, auditing, and payroll tax reporting for Elite Casino Resort properties, compliance with all applicable reporting requirements and other related tasks as assigned.

Essential Functions:

• Provide exceptional guest service to all customers, internal and external.
• Responsible for assisting Payroll Manager in ensuring accurate, timely, and secure payroll processing, payroll tax reporting, and all payroll related filing and payment requirements.
• Assist in implementing and maintaining payroll policies and procedures.
• Maintain professional working relationships with ALL team members.
• Requires strong written and oral communication skills.
• Knowledge of all levels of payroll operations.
• Ability to learn, use and teach Sage payroll system and TMS.
• Knowledge of, or the ability, to quickly learn payroll tax rules and regulations, 401K, benefits, garnishment and child support treatment.
• This position has access to sensitive salary information and files and therefore, the highest levels of integrity, confidentiality, and honesty are essential.
• Requires strong Excel skills

• Aptitude for working with computer systems. Strong communication and analytical skills. Strong Excel skills Team work skills are a must. Must have a strong attention to detail.
