About this role

Senior Power Electronics Engineer (Power Semiconductors)

$160,000 - $180,000 base + 10-20% bonus + RSUs + relocation package + health benefits + 401(k) + technical progression

Austin, TX (onsite) + occasional travel.

Are you a Power Electronics Engineer with strong design experience looking to take a high-impact role where you’ll own core platform development and help take new technology from engineering design/validation into commercialization?

This is an exciting opportunity to join a lean, highly technical semiconductor engineering team - your work will be visible, you’ll have direct access to leadership, and there’s a clear technical ladder to become a Member of Technical Staff.

The company develops next-generation power semiconductor technology used to move and control large amounts of electricity more efficiently, enabling simpler power conversion/protection designs and faster solid-state switching.

In this role, you’ll lead power electronics platform development - owning evaluation/reference hardware, validation work, and the engineering outputs required to support product release and commercialization.

The Role:

  • Develop reference design kits, evaluation boards, and characterization hardware to support product commercialization.
  • Lead silicon validation and device/system characterization to support datasheets and qualification.
  • Drive engineering execution end-to-end (performance, cost, schedule) and contribute to product/platform roadmaps.
  • Partner cross-functionally with internal teams and suppliers to deliver robust platform solutions.

The Person:

  • Strong experience in power electronics product development and commercialization support.
  • Deep knowledge of power semiconductors (MOSFETs and bipolar devices such as IGBTs/BJTs) and common conversion topologies.
  • Hands-on with lab equipment and characterization, plus modeling/simulation and design/layout tools.
  • Strong technical communication and documentation skills.
