Job Description Position Title: Senior Software Engineer in Test Position Description: Protingent Staffing has an exciting Direct Hire Senior Software Engineer in Test opportunity located in Fort Meade, MD Job Responsibilities: Serve as the sole Quality Assurance resource in a restricted environment, acting as the technical authority on quality Validate and certify all platform releases, making sure customer-critical flows remain intact and reliable Analyze and refine requirements with Development and Engineering Leads, focusing on test planning and scope to certify releases Develop, maintain, and debug end-to-end/system test plans and existing test automation to certify weekly releases Set up and maintain all test configurations and lab environments for end-to-end/system testing Review new changes going into test and staging environments and confirm compatibility with existing customer deployments Understand top customer usage patterns to define and prioritize critical test coverage Partner with Development and Release Teams on product infrastructure growth and high availability Participate in a scrum team environment and manage deliverables with minimal supervision Support overall QA efforts of the software deployment and release teams Job Qualifications: 4+ years of software QA experience focused on release-based testing and validation 4+ years of experience working in a SaaS environment 4+ years developing and executing end-to-end or system test plans 4+ years setting up and maintaining test configurations and lab environments Experience on both the server and client side of device technology Proven ability to understand, debug, and maintain existing automation code (e.g., Java-based) to diagnose failures; heavy development experience not required Comfortable wearing multiple hats across the software lifecycle, from product infrastructure and release versioning to final certification Passion for uptime and reliability of large-scale, mission-critical software
