Job description
About this role
About the Company
A fast-growing B2B SaaS company with a messaging platform used by thousands of sales teams. The platform connects to the CRMs customers already use and has real revenue and traction. You’d join a small, senior team.
The Role
You are the technical escalation point between customers and engineering. You’ll investigate and resolve complex tickets, debug integration and API issues, fix problems directly in the codebase when needed, and work with engineers to prevent repeat issues. This is a hands-on technical role that mixes support and coding.
What You’ll Do
- Own escalated technical tickets from first report through resolution
- Debug issues across a Next.js/React front end, Node.js services, and SQL databases
- Troubleshoot CRM and third-party API integrations (HubSpot, HighLevel, Close and similar), including webhooks, authentication, and data sync problems
- Write and tune SQL queries to investigate customer data issues
- Ship bug fixes and small improvements, with tests
- Document recurring issues and turn them into fixes, runbooks, or internal tools
- Work with product and engineering to prioritize and close root causes
Required Qualifications
- 4+ years of professional experience in software engineering, technical support engineering, or application support, with real code in production
- Hands-on experience with JavaScript/TypeScript, Node.js, and React (Next.js a plus)
- Strong SQL skills, including writing and debugging queries on real production data
- Experience troubleshooting REST APIs and third-party integrations, ideally CRM platforms
- Experience with logging and monitoring tools (Sentry, Datadog, or similar) and a ticketing system (Zendesk, Jira, or similar)
- Clear written communication with customers and teammates
- Authorized to work in the US
Nice to Have
- Experience with messaging or telephony (SMS, iMessage, RCS, Twilio)
- Experience with Amplitude or other product analytics tools
- Experience with AI or LLM features
- Early-stage startup background
Compensation and Benefits
- $120,000 - $145,000 base salary
- Remote friendly
Pay: $120,000.00 - $140,000.00 per year
Benefits:
- Dental insurance
- Health insurance
- Paid time off
- Vision insurance
Application Question(s):
- Have you debugged a third-party API integration in production?
Experience:
- Node.js: 4 years (Required)
Work Location: Remote
