About intelliSPEC ---------------------
intelliSPEC is an enterprise SaaS platform for industrial inspections, asset integrity, condition monitoring, and turnaround workflows, delivered through configurable, multi-tenant web and mobile applications. intelliSPEC is transforming industrial operations with a unified, intelligent platform built for safety, reliability, and efficiency.
Our solutions empower inspection teams and plant operators to work anywhere, even in low-connectivity environments, with secure, resilient, and intuitive tools.
The role
Lead automated testing and performance engineering across intelliSPEC: set the quality strategy, mentor junior SDETs, and work with developers, product, and DevOps to turn findings into verified improvements.
What you will do
- Build and maintain Playwright (TypeScript) tests for inspection forms, calculations, approvals, dashboards, attachments, and reports.
- Expand API, integration, and regression coverage with Vitest and Supertest, validating both responses and persisted data.
- Test tenant isolation, permissions, authentication, and metadata-driven forms and workflows.
- Design k6 load, stress, spike, and soak tests; measure p95/p99 latency, throughput, and error rates; and verify fixes with developers.
- Integrate tests and performance thresholds into Azure DevOps pipelines and eliminate flaky tests.
- Support mobile offline and sync testing, log defects in Jira, and communicate release risks.
Leadership
- Define the automation and performance testing strategy, framework standards, and release quality gates.
- Mentor junior SDETs through pairing, code reviews, and well-scoped tasks.
- Partner with engineering and product leads on release readiness and quality KPIs, making evidence-based go/no-go risk calls.
- Evaluate and introduce tools, including AI-powered testing, to raise team velocity.
What you bring
- 4–5 years in software testing or SDET roles, including 3+ years of automation and 1+ year of performance/load testing.
- Strong JavaScript/TypeScript skills, Git, and code-review experience.
- Hands-on Playwright automation with reliable locators, isolated test data, and clear failure diagnostics.
- REST API testing covering authentication, authorization, negative scenarios, and data integrity (Vitest, Jest, Supertest, or similar).
- k6, JMeter, or Gatling experience, with sound workload modeling and latency-percentile analysis.
- CI/CD, Docker, and MongoDB experience; Azure DevOps preferred.
- Experience mentoring engineers or leading automation initiatives, with clear written and verbal communication.
Nice to have
- React and Node.js/Fastify; React Native testing with Maestro or Appium.
- Observability (Prometheus, Grafana, Azure Monitor), accessibility (axe), or security testing.
- Industrial inspection or asset-management domain knowledge.
How we work
GSD culture and AI

- Evidence over opinion: back decisions with test results, metrics, and traces.
- AI-first efficiency: use AI assistants to generate tests, test data, and k6 scripts and to speed up failure triage, then review and verify every result.
