About this role

Position Summary

PDX ENT & Audiology Medical Group is seeking a compassionate, motivated Physician Assistant (PA) to join our established, privately owned ENT practice in the Portland metropolitan area. With over 50 years of serving our community, we pride ourselves on providing high-quality, personalized patient care in a welcoming and collaborative environment.

The Physician Assistant will work closely with our board-certified otolaryngologists, nurse practitioner, audiologists, and clinical staff to evaluate, diagnose, and manage a wide range of ear, nose, and throat conditions. This is an excellent opportunity to practice in a supportive, physician-led environment that values teamwork, professional growth, and work-life balance.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Evaluate, diagnose, and treat patients with common ENT conditions, including sinus disease, ear infections, hearing loss, allergies, sleep disorders, and other head and neck concerns.
  • Conduct comprehensive patient histories, physical examinations, and develop individualized treatment plans.
  • Order and interpret diagnostic testing, imaging, and laboratory studies as appropriate.
  • Perform in-office procedures, such as cerumen removal, nasal endoscopy, flexible laryngoscopy, and other procedures based on training, competency, and clinical privileges.
  • Prescribe medications and manage ongoing treatment within the PA's authorized scope of practice.
  • Provide preoperative and postoperative care, including patient education and follow-up.
  • Collaborate with physicians and other providers to coordinate comprehensive patient care.
  • Maintain accurate, timely medical documentation in the electronic health record.
  • Educate patients and families regarding diagnoses, treatment options, and preventive care.
  • Participate in clinical quality improvement initiatives and support efficient practice operations.

Qualifications

  • Graduate of an accredited Physician Assistant program.
  • Current Oregon PA license or eligibility for licensure.
  • Current NCCPA certification.
  • Current DEA registration or eligibility, as applicable.
  • Previous experience in otolaryngology preferred but not required.
  • Strong clinical judgment, communication skills, and a patient-centered approach.
  • Ability to work independently within the PA's scope of practice while collaborating effectively with physicians and clinical staff.

Why Join PDX ENT & Audiology?

As a privately owned practice, we offer a refreshing alternative to large healthcare systems. Our team enjoys a warm, personable workplace where providers are valued, collaboration is encouraged, and patient relationships remain a priority.
