Pediatric Physical Therapist, Ste. Genevieve - Full-time OR Part-time

Mid America Rehab is seeking a full-time or part-time Licensed Physical Therapist Assistant to work in our

Ste. Genevieve, Missouri clinic.

Qualifications

Education: applicants must be a graduate of an accredited program in physical therapy (ASPT)

Licensure: Must be currently licensed, certified and/or credentialed, as required in the state of Missouri.

Skills, Knowledge, and Abilities

• Must have general knowledge of conditions and treatment principles for a diverse number and types of diagnoses.
• The Physical Therapist Assistant must have excellent organization, time management, and communication skills—both verbal and written Working Conditions, Mental and Physical Requirements: Patient care may include heavy lifting and extensive bending and standing.
• Must demonstrate competency in equipment used for the delivery of modalities.
• Must exhibit excellent customer service and a positive attitude towards patients.

Responsibilities

• Under the direction of a physician order, the Physical Therapist Assistant provides direct rehab care under the supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist (PT) in accordance with applicable laws, regulations, and Mid America Rehab standards.
• Implements a treatment program for patients to improve movement and manage their pain.
• Ensure patients are meeting their treatment goals in collaboration with the PT, patient, and caregivers, when applicable.
• Implement the designated treatment plan and complete all related documentation and record keeping regarding these services.
• Functions under the direct supervision of the Physical Therapists and Clinic Director(s).
• Make independent decisions when circumstances warrant.
• Maintains confidentiality of all proprietary and/or confidential information.
• Performs related duties as assigned.
• Performs duties and responsibilities in a manner consistent with the standards and values of Mid America Rehab Position includes patient care for all ages in outpatient settings, and inpatient and home settings as needed.
