M c M U L L E N
Senior Operations Manager
Maiden Lane Flagship, with presence at Sacramento Street · San Francisco
F u l l - t i m e · I n - p e r s o n
McMullen is a luxury multi-brand boutique built on a clear point of view: that
fashion is more powerful when it makes room for new voices. For nearly two
decades we've championed emerging designers alongside established names,
building a curated edit and a community of clients who trust us to find what they
didn't know they were looking for.
With our Maiden Lane flagship now open, we're building the operational backbone
that will carry McMullen through its next chapter. We're hiring a Senior
Operations Manager to lead that work.
The Role
The Senior Operations Manager owns operations across McMullen's two stores.
You're the person who makes sure the day-to-day runs smoothly, the systems scale,
and the operational foundation is strong enough to support how quickly the
business is growing.
You'll be based at the Maiden Lane flagship, with regular presence at Sacramento
Street. You'll manage our Logistics Lead at Sacramento Street, partner closely
with the Director of Retail on fleet-wide operations, and report to the CEO.
What You'll
Own
Systems and team
- Day-to-day operations at the Maiden Lane flagship and Sacramento Street,
including receiving, fulfillment, and inventory
- The operational systems and playbooks that let the business scale: standards,
processes, and tools that work across stores
- Ensure store teams have clear processes, tools, and resources to successfully
execute their responsibilities
- Management of the Logistics Lead at Sacramento Street, including
development, coaching, and 1:1s
Inventory and execution
- Oversee inventory processes and ensure inventory is maintained accurately
across locations
- Support inventory counts, audits, transfers, receiving, and reconciliation
processes
- Identify recurring inventory issues and work with leadership to develop
solutions that prevent repeat errors
- Vendor operations: RAs, transfers, receiving accuracy, and coordination with
the buying team on incoming orders
Cross-functional partnership
- Cross-store logistics: transfers, inventory reconciliation, and operational
consistency across locations
- Partnership with the Director of Retail on floor operations, POS, and
operational KPIs
What We're Looking For
- 5+ years of operations leadership experience, ideally in luxury retail, DTC, or
specialty retail
- Proven track record building operational systems that scale across multiple
locations
- Strong people leadership: experience managing direct reports and developing
them well
- Deep fluency with retail operations: POS, inventory systems, receiving,
fulfillment
- Comfort with the mix of strategic thinking and hands-on execution that a small
luxury business requires
- A calm, structured operator who brings order to fast-moving environments
- Strong written communication and documentation instincts
- Comfort working closely with a founder who cares about how the details are
done
Why McMullen
Working at McMullen means being part of a brand that has spent years building
real conviction about what luxury retail can be. Our clientele is loyal, our designer
relationships run deep, and our team is small, smart, and serious about what we
do. This role is for someone who wants to build the operational backbone that
carries McMullen into its next chapter, and grow alongside it.
Compensation
Competitive compensation package commensurate with experience. Includes base
salary, performance bonus, and benefits. Details discussed in the interview
process.
