Physical Therapist

Position Overview: Responsible for evaluating and implementing medically prescribed physical therapy treatments to address movement dysfunction and pain caused by injury, disease, or disability.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct initial and ongoing assessments of patients’ conditions.
• Develop, revise, and evaluate personalized care plans involving patients and families.
• Administer therapy interventions using standard techniques suitable for each patient’s needs.
• Educate patients, families, and staff on treatment and care requirements.
• Participate in discharge planning, providing home instructions, recommending equipment or modifications, and coordinating follow-up care.
• Supervise physical therapy assistants, students, and support staff.
• Maintain detailed documentation of patient responses and interventions to comply with regulations.
• Ensure safety and perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications & Skills:

• Bachelor’s, Master’s, or Doctorate in Physical Therapy or related field, with appropriate licensure.
• Strong assessment and patient care skills.
• Excellent communication and educational abilities.
• Leadership skills for supervising support personnel.
• Physical ability to perform tasks including lifting, walking, reaching, and patient handling.

Certifications

BLS Healthcare Provider certification required within 90 days of employment.
