Senior Accountant

LHH is partnering with a large global organization in the Portland area to hire a

Senior Accountant

. This newly created position is a strong opportunity for someone who wants to take ownership of meaningful accounting work, broaden their technical experience, and learn from an established leadership team.

Compensation:

$90K–$100K + 5% bonus

Location:

Remote available | Hybrid available | local candidates preferred

The Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting
• Strong general ledger and month-end close experience
• Public accounting and/or corporate accounting background
• Demonstrated technical accounting expertise and strong command of U.S. GAAP fundamentals
• Experience working in a larger, complex accounting environment
• Strong Excel skills; experience with a larger ERP system
• CPA or progress toward certification

The Role

As

Senior Accountant

, you’ll join a global accounting team and take meaningful ownership of the close while building experience beyond the traditional general ledger. Your core responsibilities will include journal entries, reconciliations, accruals, and account analysis, with additional exposure to fixed assets, leases, debt, cash activity, intercompany accounting, and other technical areas.

What makes this opportunity especially interesting is the work outside of the recurring close. You’ll support audit requests, financial statement schedules, year-end initiatives, and special projects, with the chance to dig into new accounting issues as they arise.

The team is looking for someone who doesn’t just complete a reconciliation, but understands what’s behind the numbers, asks thoughtful questions, and takes ownership when something doesn’t look right.

For someone who has developed a strong accounting foundation and wants to keep building on it, this position offers the chance to work closely with experienced accounting leaders, expand your technical range, and gradually take on broader responsibilities.

The Package

• Base Salary:

$90K–$100K

• Annual Bonus:

5% target
