About this role

Duration: 12+ month contract, with potential for extension or conversion to a permanent role

LRS Consulting Services is seeking a hands-on Senior IT Project Manager to lead technology initiatives for a client. This role will coordinate business stakeholders, internal teams and vendors across projects involving supplemental insurance products, policy administration, claims, enrollment and billing.

Acquisition integration work

  • Digital integration planning: Work with the Digital Transformation group to define project scope, milestones, ownership and dependencies across acquisition workstreams. Maintain a clear view of how system changes, data conversion, process decisions and business readiness affect one another.

Other possible project streams

  • LifePRO configuration and enrollment: Manage delivery activities for configuring acquired group supplemental insurance products in LifePRO, including policy setup, automated enrollment, online claims submission, data feeds and policy package generation.
  • Claims and policy conversion: Coordinate the migration of group policies and active claims into LifePRO and the retirement of PolicyPRO. Track source-to-target requirements, conversion decisions, validation, testing and cutover readiness.
  • Group billing modernization: Manage the implementation of Milliman Connect Billing to replace legacy AS400, SAW and related billing capabilities. Coordinate quote-to-bill process decisions and integrations with LifePRO, Workday, Lockbox/banking, Perceptive, SFTP and other enterprise systems.
  • Straight-through processing: Partner with New Business, Underwriting and technology teams to automate policy activation for eligible Individual Supplemental and Group applications. Track decisions on eligibility rules, exceptions and manual processes against the goal of processing 80–100% of eligible applications without manual intervention.

Responsibilities

  • Build and maintain project plans, schedules, milestones, resource assignments and deliverables.
  • Lead multiple maintenance, support and application development projects at the same time.
  • Establish governance, meeting cadence, status reporting and clear expectations for business, technology and vendor teams.
  • Identify and manage risks, issues, dependencies and changes; escalate decisions when needed.
  • Coordinate discovery and planning sessions with stakeholders, subject matter experts and technical teams.
  • Oversee requirements, process documentation, integration planning, data mapping and conversion activities to keep delivery aligned with business needs.
  • Direct work across internal developers, consultants, vendors, QA and business teams.
  • Track testing, implementation, conversion and business readiness activities through completion.
  • Maintain accurate project documentation in MS Project or comparable project management and Agile delivery tools.

Qualifications

  • 8+ years of project management experience, including risk management, project planning, timeline management, team leadership and delivery of maintenance, support or application development work.
  • Experience managing requirements and producing project deliverables using project management software.
  • Experience delivering projects using Agile, Waterfall or a combination of both.
  • 2+ years managing multiple maintenance and development projects simultaneously, including work performed by internal developers and vendor teams.
  • Experience developing project plans and coordinating meetings, timelines, communications and stakeholder expectations.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills in English.

Preferred

PMP certification and experience with insurance systems, policy administration, claims, enrollment, billing or system conversions.
