Job Description

Kin + Carta Americas is seeking a skilled Software Engineer to help design, develop, test, and maintain high-quality software solutions. The ideal candidate will combine strong programming skills with analytical thinking and a collaborative approach to solving complex technical challenges.

In this role, you will work with engineering, product, and design teams to build modern applications, improve existing systems, and deliver reliable technology solutions that support client and business objectives.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, and maintain software applications and services.
• Write clean, efficient, reusable, and maintainable code.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
• Develop and integrate APIs, databases, and third-party services.
• Troubleshoot software defects and improve application performance.
• Participate in code reviews and follow established engineering standards.
• Create and maintain automated tests to support software quality.
• Contribute to technical design discussions and software architecture decisions.
• Support application deployments, monitoring, and ongoing maintenance.
• Maintain technical documentation and follow secure development practices.
• Identify opportunities to improve system reliability, scalability, and development workflows.

Skills and Experience

• Experience in software engineering or application development.
• Proficiency in one or more programming languages, such as Java, Python, JavaScript, TypeScript, or C#.
• Understanding of data structures, algorithms, software design principles, and object-oriented programming.
• Familiarity with APIs, relational or NoSQL databases, and version control systems.
• Knowledge of software testing, debugging, and the software development life cycle.
• Experience with cloud platforms, CI/CD pipelines, or modern development frameworks is an advantage.
• Strong analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to collaborate effectively with technical teams and business stakeholders.
• Commitment to writing maintainable code and continuously improving technical skills.
