You will lead our US team of three developers, keeping delivery consistent, high quality and aligned with global engineering practices.

You will also keep our global team informed on progress, results and risks.

Job Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and deliver full stack software solutions across frontend (Angular) and backend (Node.js/TypeScript) services, applying strong problem-solving skills to break down complex technical challenges.
  • Lead the US region, ensuring our team of three developers works consistently with global engineering standards, coding practices and delivery processes.
  • Set clear priorities and expectations for our regional team, keeping delivery focused on results and holding the team accountable for commitments.
  • Provide regular, structured updates to the global team on regional progress, delivery results, risks, and blockers.
  • Develop secure, high-quality production code and review peers' work to maintain consistency, reliability, and adherence to engineering standards across the region.
  • Leverage AI-assisted development tools (e.g., GitHub Copilot, AI code review assistants) to improve productivity, code quality, and delivery speed, and champion their effective adoption within the regional team.
  • Mentor and support the developers on the regional team, providing technical guidance and fostering a culture of continuous improvement and engineering excellence.
  • Identify opportunities to eliminate or automate remediation of recurring issues to improve the overall operational stability of applications and systems.
  • Partner with the Engineering Manager and the Product Manager to align regional delivery with the broader product roadmap and sprint planning.
  • Escalate and resolve regional delivery risks, dependencies, and resourcing concerns in a timely manner, ensuring transparency with global stakeholders.
  • Participate in communities of practice across Software Engineering to drive awareness and adoption of modern tooling, patterns, and best practices.

Required Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, Data Science, or related disciplines.
  • Formal training or certification in software engineering concepts and 5+ years of applied experience delivering production software.
  • Hands-on practical experience across the full Software Development Life Cycle, including system design, application development, testing, CI/CD pipelines, and operational support.
  • Proven experience in frontend development with Angular, including state management and testing with Testing Library.
  • Proven experience building RESTful APIs with Node.js and TypeScript, and writing and maintaining unit, functional and integration tests.
  • Demonstrated experience leading or coordinating the work of other developers, with accountability for a team's delivery consistency and quality.
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate clearly with technical and non-technical stakeholders, including global or distributed teams, providing structured updates on progress and results and translating business requirements into actionable technical plans.
  • Experience working collaboratively in agile teams and participating in Scrum ceremonies (stand-ups, retrospectives, sprint planning); experience facilitating or running ceremonies.
  • Demonstrated experience leading effective use of approved AI-assisted software development tools (e.g., for coding, code review, test acceleration, troubleshooting) with the ability to set team expectations for validating AI outputs for correctness, performance, and security.
  • Experience with relational databases such as MySQL or similar.

Preferred Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills

  • Experience with React as an additional frontend framework alongside Angular.
  • Prior experience leading a distributed or regional team within a global engineering organization.
  • Experience with Python for backend services or tooling.
  • Proficiency with design and prototyping tools such as Figma for collaborating on UI/UX requirements.
  • Experience managing application risk, controls compliance and resiliency requirements within a regulated financial services or enterprise technology environment.
