Position Summary

We are seeking a results-driven Sales and Product Manager to drive revenue growth and optimize our product portfolio across multiple sales channels. This role is responsible for managing the product mix, identifying new market opportunities, developing multi-channel sales strategies (DTC, DTB, and retail), and implementing pricing approaches that maximize profitability.

The successful candidate will lead a small team and work cross-functionally to expand our market reach in the U.S. and Canada.

Key Responsibilities

Product Portfolio Management

  • Manage the company’s product portfolio and determine the optimal product mix to maximize revenue, margins, and market competitiveness.
  • Identify, evaluate, and prioritize new product opportunities across various market segments.
  • Collaborate with manufacturing, engineering, supply chain, and operations teams on product development, launches, and lifecycle management.
  • Monitor product performance and recommend portfolio adjustments based on sales data, customer feedback, and market trends.

Sales Channel Development and Management

  • Drive and support direct-to-consumer (DTC) sales growth through website optimization, e-commerce strategy, and social media advertising campaigns.
  • Develop and manage direct-to-business (DTB) relationships with companies that use or consume our products.
  • Support existing retail partners and develop new relationships with both national chains and small specialty retailers across the U.S. and Canada.
  • Establish channel-specific strategies, promotional programs, and performance metrics to achieve sales targets.

Pricing and Profitability

  • Set and manage pricing strategies and discount structures based on market dynamics, competitive positioning, and cost structures.
  • Analyze pricing elasticity, margins by channel and product, and overall profitability to optimize company performance.
  • Partner with finance and sales teams to ensure pricing balances competitiveness with sustainable profitability.

Team Leadership

  • Directly supervise one team member responsible for social media execution and managing relationships and supply with current small specialty retailers.
  • Provide coaching, goal setting, performance feedback, and professional development support.
  • Coordinate efforts across sales, marketing, operations, and product functions.

Market Analysis and Strategic Planning

  • Monitor industry trends, competitive activity, and customer insights to inform product and sales strategies.
  • Develop sales forecasts, targets, and growth plans for key channels and product lines.
  • Represent the company at trade shows, industry events, or key customer meetings as required.

Qualifications

Required

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Engineering, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of progressive experience in sales, product management, or commercial roles, preferably in manufacturing or a technology-related industry.
  • Proven experience managing multi-channel sales, including direct-to-consumer/e-commerce, direct-to-business, and retail distribution.
  • Strong analytical skills with demonstrated experience in pricing strategy, product portfolio analysis, and margin optimization.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Experience managing or supervising a small team or direct reports.
  • Proficiency with CRM systems, e-commerce platforms, and data analysis tools.

Preferred
