We're seeking an Entry Level Electrical Engineer to join our Federal Buildings team in Honolulu, HI. You'll work alongside experienced engineers, architects, and project professionals on complex and impactful projects that serve government and defense clients across the United States.

As part of our team, you'll contribute to the design of critical building systems for a variety of federal facilities while building the technical foundation for a successful engineering career. You'll gain exposure to the full project lifecycle and work on multidisciplinary teams that deliver award-winning planning, engineering, architectural design, construction management, and design-build services.

In this role, you'll support projects involving:

Working under the guidance of experienced engineers, you'll assist with engineering calculations, load studies, equipment selection, design documentation, and drawing production. You'll have opportunities to participate in design reviews, coordinate with project teams, and support the delivery of innovative solutions that help federal clients achieve their missions.

We're looking for someone who is eager to learn, takes initiative, and enjoys solving technical challenges. Strong communication and collaboration skills are essential, as you'll work closely with team members across multiple disciplines while developing your own professional expertise.

At Jacobs, you'll find more than a job. You'll find a place where you can grow your career, build meaningful relationships, and make an impact from day one. Through hands-on project experience, structured mentorship, and professional development opportunities, you'll be empowered to develop your technical skills and pursue your path toward professional licensure and long-term career success.

Bring your curiosity, talent, and ambition, and we'll help you turn them into a career that shapes the future.

Here's what you'll need

  • Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering
  • United States Citizenship
  • Knowledge of electrical engineering fundamentals and building systems design principles
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel
  • Familiarity with Revit, AutoCAD, Bluebeam, or other engineering design software

Ideally You’ll Also Have:

  • Engineer-in-Training (EIT) certification or ability to obtain shortly after graduation
  • Internship, co-op, or research experience in engineering, consulting, construction, or a related field
  • Interest in federal infrastructure, mission-critical facilities, or building systems design
  • Experience working on multidisciplinary team projects through academics, student organizations, or professional experience
