About this role
Description
As a Software Infrastructure Engineer, you will design, implement, and operate the infrastructure, tooling, and workflows used to build, release, deploy, and test. You will collaborate with Software and GNC engineers to create reliable, automated deployment and test systems for multiple spacecraft and hardware-in-the-loop test platforms.### Responsibilities
- Partner with Software and GNC teams to develop, operate, and continuously improve automated build, integration, test, and deployment pipelines.
- Design, develop, and maintain systems for deploying binaries and other software artifacts to spacecraft hardware used for flight and hardware-in-the-loop (HITL) testing.
- Develop reliable, automated deployment workflows that support software releases and test operations at launch and test sites.
- Implement and maintain monitoring, logging, alerting, and data-analysis capabilities supporting continuous integration, release readiness, and test operations.
- Develop and maintain containerized environments and infrastructure-as-code automation to provision, configure, and operate CI, HITL, and test-site infrastructure.
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Math, Physics, Engineering, or a related technical field.
- 2+ years of demonstrated experience in Software Infrastructure, DevOps, SRE, or Software Engineering
- Demonstrated experience with Git and CI/CD tooling (GitLab CI/CD, Github Actions, Jenkins, or equivalent).
- Demonstrated experience in at least one scripting or programming language (Python, Bash, or equivalent) used to build automation and developer tooling.
- Demonstrated experience with containerization technologies (Docker, Podman, or equivalent).
- Demonstrated experience with Linux systems, network configuration, and common networking protocols.
Preferred Skills and Experience
- Demonstrated experience maintaining C++ build systems, including dependency management, toolchain configuration, and cross-platform builds using CMake, Make, Bazel, or equivalent.
- Demonstrated experience with infrastructure as code (IaC) and configuration management tools (Ansible, Terraform, or equivalent).
- Demonstrated experience designing or integrating CI/CD systems that automate build, test, packaging, and deployment workflows for complex software systems.
- Demonstrated experience packaging and supporting cross-platform source development kits (SDKs) or developer-facing software releases.
- Demonstrated experience managing build configurations, versioned releases, and software artifacts for multiple targets from a shared codebase, including release automation, SBOM generation, or software configuration management.
Additional Information
Compensation bands are determined by role, level, location, and alignment with market data. Individual level and base pay is determined on a case-by-case basis and may vary based on job-related skills, education, experience, technical capabilities and internal equity.
In addition to base salary, for full-time hires, you may also be eligible for long-term incentives, in the form of stock options, and access to medical, vision & dental coverage as well as access to a 401(k) retirement plan.
