We are seeking innovative power electronics engineers with a focus on commercial applications. Candidates should have a background in electrical engineering, physics, or applied physics.

I-Pulse Albuquerque is investing in R&D to pioneer new technologies and establish industry benchmarks in pulsed-power and electrical systems. By opening an office in Albuquerque, we are advancing our commitment to commercializing pulsed power. We seek creative individuals who can rapidly transform concepts into hardware and integrate them into commercial applications.

Responsibilities may include:

• Collaborating with scientists, engineers, technicians, and program managers to develop advanced power electronic systems.
• Designing high-temperature, long-lifetime, high-reliability power electronic systems, both single shot and high lifetime rep-rate systems.
• Developing PCBs and advanced high-temperature electronics.
• Presenting work at design reviews, managing schedules, and tracking project costs.
• Conducting theoretical and experimental analyses.
• Documenting results, failures, and corrective actions.
• Writing technical proposals.

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in physics, electrical engineering, or a related field.
• 1–10 years of experience in high-voltage or pulsed-power projects (experience will determine hiring level).
• Experience in research, development, or prototyping environments.

Desired Qualifications:

• 15+ years of experience in power electronics or related projects for government or industry.
• Expertise in experimental electrical engineering or applied physics.
• Master’s or Ph.D. in physics, mathematics, electrical engineering, or a related field.
