Job Summary

This role focuses on automating manual manufacturing processes using Python, building interactive visualization applications with Streamlit, and developing data-driven solutions using Databricks. The candidate will collaborate closely with manufacturing and supply chain teams to develop proof of concepts (PoCs), validate business hypotheses, and implement automated analytical workflows.

Manufacturing domain experience is mandatory. Candidates with experience in manufacturing yield, capital management, waste analysis, equipment performance, or production operations are strongly preferred.

Key Responsibilities

1. Manufacturing Precision Yield Optimization

  • Automate the allocation and analysis of waste generated across different phases of the manufacturing production process.
  • Develop Python-based solutions to replace existing manual processes.
  • Build interactive Streamlit dashboards and user interfaces for data visualization and analytical insights.
  • Analyze manufacturing data to identify patterns, inefficiencies, and opportunities for yield improvement.
  • Develop and validate analytical hypotheses to support manufacturing decision-making.
  • Automate workflows to execute whenever the underlying manufacturing data is refreshed.

2. Strategic Capital Planning

  • Automate manual strategic capital planning processes for manufacturing operations.
  • Develop Python-based analytical models and workflows to support capital planning and resource allocation.
  • Build Streamlit interfaces to visualize planning outputs, insights, and key performance indicators.
  • Integrate relevant manufacturing datasets to improve planning accuracy and operational efficiency.
  • Implement automated data processing and reporting workflows triggered by data refreshes.

Technical Responsibilities

  • Write and optimize SQL queries to extract, transform, and analyze manufacturing data.
  • Work with manufacturing data sources such as RTIME, gSFT, Downtime, Waste, WAGES, Equipment, and Specifications.
  • Develop data analysis and proof-of-concept solutions using Python in collaboration with supply chain and manufacturing stakeholders.
  • Use Databricks for data processing, analysis, and workflow development.
  • Translate business requirements into scalable, automated analytical solutions.
  • Validate data quality, analytical results, and business assumptions.

Required Qualifications

  • Hands-on experience in the manufacturing domain, particularly in Yield Optimization, Manufacturing Analytics, or Strategic Capital Planning/Capital Management.
  • Strong programming skills in Python for data analysis, automation, and proof-of-concept development.
  • Strong SQL skills, including writing queries against manufacturing and operational datasets.
  • Practical experience with Databricks for data processing and analytics.
  • Experience building interactive dashboards or applications using Streamlit.
  • Experience analyzing manufacturing, production, equipment, downtime, or waste-related data.
  • Ability to work with manufacturing and supply chain personnel to understand business problems and develop data-driven solutions.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Ability to work onsite in Plano, Texas, five days a week as required by the business.
