Position Overview
=====================
GovWorx is looking for a 9-1-1 professional who understands center operations and has operated and / or helped configure, implement, or support the technology that powers it. You may be an ECC technology manager, CAD administrator, technically strong operations leader, or public safety IT professional who works closely with dispatch.
You will help agencies understand how GovWorx will work in their environment. You will lead detailed product demonstrations, navigate deep technical conversations, and identify practical solutions before a purchase. Working alongside account executives, client account managers and our product and implementation teams, you will connect agency needs to specific modules, configurations, and technical requirements.
Prior sales experience is not required…maybe not even preferred. We are looking for someone whose credibility comes from direct agency experience and real responsibility for operational technology.
Key Responsibilities
========================
- Lead presentations with center leaders, supervisors, telecommunicators, trainers and IT staff to understand operational challenges, current workflows, existing systems, and the conditions that will determine whether a solution fits.
- Own deep product demonstrations tailored to each agency. Show complete workflows, explain configuration choices, and connect product capabilities to the work of call takers, dispatchers, supervisors, and administrators.
- Prepare and maintain demonstration environments, including configurations, realistic scenarios, approved sample data, and relevant agency content. Test the workflows before presenting them.
- Lead technical conversations about CAD, recording, telephony, radio, data exchange, connectivity, identity, and security. Bring in engineering or security specialists when an answer requires their expertise.
- Assemble solutions before purchase when needed. Document the recommended products, workflows, configuration, data inputs, integration dependencies, agency responsibilities, and implementation assumptions.
- Support technical workshops, evaluations, and proofs of concept with clear objectives and agreed success criteria. Coordinate the work needed to demonstrate fit and resolve open questions.
- Contribute accurate technical responses to proposals and RFPs. Validate requirements with internal experts, document gaps, and clearly distinguish available capabilities from proposed or planned functionality.
- Provide a clear handoff to implementation and customer success. Bring recurring agency needs and product gaps back to the product team.
Qualifications
==================
The experience we are looking for
- Direct experience working within a 9-1-1 ECC or PSAP, or in an agency IT role directly supporting one, with a practical understanding of call taking, dispatch, and supervisor workflows.
- Hands-on responsibility for configuring, administering, implementing, or supporting one or more operational systems, such as CAD, call handling, recording, radio, GIS, or related interfaces.
- Ability to explain how systems connect, how data moves, and what access or connectivity is required. You can identify technical dependencies and recognize when specialist review is needed.
- Comfort leading live demonstrations and substantive conversations with dispatch personnel, agency leaders, and IT staff. You listen carefully and explain complex functions in plain language.
- Ability to turn an operational problem into a documented workflow or solution, configure and test it, troubleshoot issues, and explain the practical tradeoffs.
- Strong preparation, documentation, and follow-through. You can coordinate multiple evaluations and keep agency questions and internal responsibilities clear.
- Curiosity and the discipline to learn the GovWorx platform deeply, including administration, configuration, and the limits of its capabilities.
Experience that would be especially useful
==============================================
- Leading a public safety technology implementation, system replacement, integration project, or operational change involving both users and IT.
- Hands on experience on ECC software; CH, CAD, Radio, QA, Training tools
- Supporting quality assurance, training, supervisor development, performance reporting, or non-emergency call workflows.
How Success is Measured
===========================
Agencies can see how the demonstrated workflows address their needs. Technical questions are resolved before purchase decisions, and solution plans reflect what can be delivered. Implementation teams receive a clear scope and useful documentation.
Agency feedback leads to better demonstrations, stronger solutions, and informed product decisions.
