The position is deeply hands-on and sits between core data engineering and finance analytics, ensuring revenue-accounting logic is accurate, explainable, auditable, and scalable.
The primary purpose of the role is to transform heterogeneous source-system data into controlled, reusable, and finance-approved revenue-accounting models. Partner with the Lead Data Engineer to implement canonical revenue-accounting models, reusable transformation standards, and deployment controls. Work closely with the Revenue Accounting Data Product Owner and Finance Data Analyst to validate business logic, investigate variances, and refine outputs. Optimize model performance, lineage clarity, maintainability, and reusability across practices and future use cases.
Support parallel runs, close-cycle validation, exception triage, and post-release issue resolution. Document transformation logic, finance definitions, test coverage, and release changes in a way Finance and audit stakeholders can understand. Contribute to engineering best practices for SQL, Python, Git, CI/CD, peer review, naming standards, and release management.
