Staff Accountant / Bookkeeper

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Staff Accountant / Bookkeeper to join our growing CPA firm. We provide accounting, bookkeeping, and payroll services to a diverse portfolio of small business clients.

Our team uses advanced cloud-based accounting software to categorize transactions, reconcile accounts, maintain accurate financial records, and support our clients' ongoing accounting needs.

Qualifications and Skills

• Experience in bookkeeping, accounting, or a related field.
• Proficiency in cloud-based accounting software.
• Experience with Xero is strongly preferred; proficiency in QuickBooks Online is also acceptable.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Ability to categorize financial transactions and reconcile bank, credit card, and other accounts accurately.
• Good communication skills and the ability to work effectively with clients and team members.
• Motivation to learn, take initiative, and grow professionally in a fast-paced environment.
• Bilingual English and Spanish Required

Responsibilities

• Maintain accurate bookkeeping records for small business clients.
• Categorize transactions and reconcile bank, credit card, and other accounts.
• Assist with monthly financial statements and reporting.
• Support payroll processing and related bookkeeping tasks.
• Identify and resolve discrepancies in financial records.
• Communicate with clients to obtain necessary financial information and documentation.
• Assist the accounting team with additional duties as needed.
