Gallup is seeking a Site Reliability Engineer Intern to help maintain and improve the performance and reliability of its global technology platform. The intern will gain hands-on experience with observability, automation, cloud infrastructure, dashboards, alerting, and incident response while collaborating with site reliability, DevOps, and software engineering teams.

Responsibilities

Help build and improve observability using tools like Dynatrace and PagerDuty to monitor applications running on AWS Create dashboards, alerts and metrics that give engineering teams real-time insight into application performance and system reliability Support automated alerting workflows that integrate directly with Slack Shadow and support incident response to learn how Gallup detects, resolves and prevents issues before they affect customers Write scripts and automation that reduce repetitive operational work Collaborate with a progressive technology team of site reliability engineers, DevOps engineers and software developers

Qualifications: Enrollment in an associate, bachelor's or graduate degree program in computer science, MIS or a related field required Basic knowledge of and/or experience with AWS or another cloud platform required Basic knowledge of and/or experience with Windows or Linux server administration, networking or infrastructure required Classroom or professional experience working with one or more of the following technologies required: Python, Bash, PowerShell, Terraform, Docker, Amazon ECS, GitHub Enrollment at a college or university within an 80-mile radius of San Francisco, California, required Availability to work 40 hours per week for 12 weeks during the summer of 2027 required Eligibility to work in the United States required; this position is not eligible for employment visa sponsorship Exposure to monitoring or incident management tools such as Dynatrace, Grafana or PagerDuty preferred Anticipated graduation between August 2027 and May 2028 preferred; will consider 2029 graduates
