Finance and Accounting Manager

Front Row Logistics is a fast-growing freight brokerage specializing in open-deck and oversized/heavy haul freight. We’re a small, close-knit team where you’ll have real ownership and direct access to leadership.

The role

We’re looking for a hands-on finance and accounting professional to run our day-to-day finance operations, about 24 hours a week (3 days, flexible). You’ll own the books and work directly with the CEO on budgeting, cash flow, and reporting.

What you’ll do

• Manage accounts payable: carrier invoices, vendor payments, and weekly payment runs
• Manage accounts receivable: invoicing, collections, and cash application
• Process payroll and keep payroll records accurate and compliant
• Build and monitor budgets and produce monthly financial reports
• Own month-end close, bank reconciliations, and general ledger upkeep
• Improve finance processes and controls as we grow

What you bring

• 3+ years of accounting or finance experience (AP/AR and payroll required)
• Proficiency with QuickBooks or similar accounting software
• Strong Excel skills
• Organized, detail-oriented, and comfortable working independently

Bonus points

• Freight brokerage or transportation experience
• Multi-state payroll experience
• HR administration experience (onboarding, employee records, benefits coordination). There may be an opportunity to take on some HR support over time.
