Commercial Roofing Operations Manager

Fisher Construction Group is a Washington-based design-build general contractor specializing in food processing, cold storage, industrial, manufacturing, warehouse, and distribution facilities throughout the United States and Canada.

We are seeking an experienced and motivated Roofing Operations Manager to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing commercial and industrial roofing projects, including scheduling crews, coordinating material procurement, tracking production, and ensuring projects are completed safely, on time, and within budget.

This position requires strong leadership, organizational skills, and technical knowledge of commercial roofing systems, along with the ability to manage multiple projects, maintain customer relationships, and identify new business opportunities.

Roofing Operations Manager Duties and Responsibilities:

• Oversee commercial and industrial roofing projects from start to finish, ensuring projects are completed safely, on schedule, within budget, and to company quality standards.
• Schedule and coordinate roofing crews, subcontractors, and equipment to ensure efficient project execution and proper manpower allocation.
• Manage material procurement, including ordering, coordinating deliveries, and ensuring materials are available to meet project schedules.
• Monitor and track daily production, labor hours, material usage, and project progress to maintain productivity and profitability.
• Develop and maintain project schedules, budgets, and work plans, making adjustments as needed to meet project deadlines.
• Coordinate with field superintendents and foremen to monitor jobsite activities, address challenges, and maintain production goals.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with building owners, property managers, general contractors, and other project stakeholders.
• Conduct roof inspections and assessments to evaluate project requirements and recommend appropriate roofing solutions.
• Identify and pursue new business opportunities within the commercial and industrial roofing market.
• Prepare project estimates, proposals, and change orders as needed.
• Manage project documentation, including contracts, submittals, change orders, production reports, and project closeout documents.
• Communicate regularly with clients, suppliers, subcontractors, and internal teams to ensure successful project execution.

Roofing Operations Manager Requirements:

• Minimum of 5 years of roofing project management experience.
• Minimum of 10 years of commercial or industrial roofing experience.
• Strong knowledge of commercial roofing systems, including TPO, PVC, EPDM, and other low-slope roofing applications.
• Experience scheduling and managing roofing crews, coordinating manpower, and overseeing multiple projects simultaneously.
• Experience with material procurement, production tracking, labor management, and project budgeting.
• Strong understanding of commercial roofing installation methods, materials, safety requirements, and industry standards.
• Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, specifications, and contracts.
• Strong organizational, leadership, problem-solving, and time management skills.
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to develop and maintain relationships with customers, general contractors, and suppliers.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and project management software such as Procore.
• Ability to manage competing priorities, meet deadlines, and work effectively in a fast-paced construction environment.

Fisher Construction Group provides a highly competitive wage and benefits package. Depending on experience, employment offers will range between $121,426 to $140,229 annually, with a potential annual performance bonus up to $25,000.

Pay: $121,426.00 - $140,229.00 per year
