Job description
About this role
Position Description:
We’re looking for an execution-focused research partner who can help keep customer research and related team work moving. This person will complement senior team members’ qualitative research and stakeholder-management strengths by bringing reliable follow-through, strong organization, technical curiosity, and clear communication.
What they’ll do:
- Coordinate research activities such as recruiting, scheduling, participant communications, consent, incentives, session setup, recording, transcription, file organization, and study closeout.
- Review existing research and other evidence across tools and repositories, identify what’s useful or missing, and share concise findings and implications.
- Support research sessions through preparation, note-taking, observation, probing, tagging, synthesis, and clear reporting.
- Manage several well-scoped tasks or workstreams at once, making priorities and capacity visible.
- Keep useful learning from projects in reusable guides, templates, checklists, prompts, repository entries, or process improvements.
- Explore and document new tools and workflows, including AI-assisted approaches, with appropriate care for output quality and risks.
What we’re looking for:
- Proactive, concise communication: shares progress, next steps, blockers, and questions without needing to be chased.
- A collaborative, low-ego approach; dependable ownership; and a willingness to support both visible and behind-the-scenes work.
- Strong organization, attention to detail, and reliable follow-through.
- Comfort with desk research, reviewing evidence, and turning findings into useful summaries rather than simply sharing links.
- Curiosity and confidence learning tools such as Dovetail, Figma, Miro, Excel, Teams transcripts, survey tools, and research repositories. They don’t need to know every tool on day one.
- An IT, data science, or similarly technical background—or demonstrated technical aptitude—with an interest in helping the team navigate AI integrations through APIs and MCPs. The role calls for someone who can investigate options, test workflows, document what they learn, and help connect technical possibilities to the team’s needs; it does not necessarily require a dedicated software engineer.
- Familiarity with quantitative data gathering and analysis, such as working with surveys or structured data, organizing results, and identifying basic patterns. They do not need to be a seasoned UX researcher or quantitative research specialist.
- A solid foundation in qualitative research execution, with room to continue developing moderation skills and research judgment. What success looks like The team can rely on this person to keep scoped work moving, raise issues early, organize evidence so it can be reused, and make technical or research workflows easier to understand. They bring structure and momentum while continuing to learn—not necessarily independent ownership of research strategy from day one.
Experience Required:
- UX Researcher Exp.: 2-5 years
Experience Preferred:
- Quantitative testing experience
- Familiarity with AI integration methods like APIs and MCPs
Education Required:
- Bachelor's Degree
