Job description
About this role
About The Role
The role owns product strategy and execution for a core platform surface used by thousands of customers daily — defining the roadmap, prioritizing against engineering capacity, and shipping features that balance user value, technical debt, and business impact.
You will act as the connective tissue between engineering, design, and go-to-market teams: translating ambiguous business problems into sequenced roadmaps, making hard scope tradeoffs, and driving delivery through every sprint cycle.
Key Responsibilities
- Own and drive the product roadmap for a core platform area, from discovery through launch, in close partnership with engineering leads and design
- Write clear product requirement documents and user stories with acceptance criteria that engineering teams can execute against without ambiguity
- Define and instrument success metrics using tools like Amplitude, Mixpanel, or SQL-based analytics; run experiments and make data-driven prioritization calls
- Run discovery work directly — customer interviews, competitive analysis, and win/loss reviews — and synthesize findings into roadmap decisions
- Manage backlog grooming, sprint planning, and release coordination in Jira; keep stakeholders aligned on scope, timelines, and tradeoffs
- Partner with sales and customer success on enterprise deals requiring roadmap commitments, technical scoping, or custom requirements
- Communicate progress, risks, and decisions crisply to executive leadership through regular written updates and roadmap reviews
What We Are Looking For
- 3–7 years of product management experience, including at least 2 years owning a B2B or platform product end-to-end
- Demonstrated ability to work directly with engineers on technical tradeoffs — comfort reading API docs, data models, or system diagrams is expected
- Strong analytical skills: fluency with SQL, product analytics tools, and experiment design (A/B testing, feature flagging)
- Track record of shipping software on tight timelines while managing scope, dependencies, and stakeholder expectations
- Excellent written communication — PRDs, decision docs, and executive updates that are clear, concise, and action-oriented
- Bachelor's degree in a technical field, or equivalent practical experience in software or product roles
- Bonus: Experience with APIs, developer tools, integrations, or platform products; technical background as an engineer or technical PM
