Job description

About this role

About The Role

The role supports the full employee lifecycle — onboarding, benefits, performance, compliance, and employee relations — for a fast-growing technology organization.

You will be a key point of contact for employees and managers, translating people strategy into day-to-day operations and helping scale HR programs as headcount grows.

Key Responsibilities

  • Own day-to-day HR operations: onboarding, offboarding, employee records, and HRIS data integrity (BambooHR, Workday, or similar)
  • Administer benefits programs and serve as first point of contact for employee questions on leave, compensation, and policies
  • Support employee relations: conduct investigations, document outcomes, and advise managers on policy and performance issues
  • Drive performance-review cycles and partner with leadership on calibration and promotion processes
  • Ensure compliance with federal, Washington state, and Seattle-specific employment regulations
  • Run engagement surveys and translate results into concrete action plans with the People team
  • Contribute to HR programs and policy design as the team scales programs across offices and remote employees

What We Are Looking For

  • 3-6 years of HR generalist experience, ideally in a technology or high-growth environment
  • Working knowledge of employment law and compliance, including FMLA, ADA, and WA state requirements
  • Hands-on experience with an HRIS (Workday, BambooHR, Rippling, or similar)
  • Experience handling employee relations matters with discretion and sound judgment
  • Strong written and verbal communication; comfortable presenting to employees and leadership
  • Bachelor's degree in HR, business, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience
  • Bonus: HR certifications (SHRM-CP, PHR), experience with equity compensation administration, or prior recruiting exposure
