About this role
About The Role
The role owns the frontend experience for products used by customers every day — building fast, accessible interfaces in React and TypeScript that ship to production weekly, not quarterly. You will work alongside backend engineers and product designers to turn ambiguous product requirements into polished, performant UI, with real ownership over architecture decisions and component design.
Key Responsibilities
Build and maintain production React applications in TypeScript, with a focus on performance, accessibility, and responsive design across desktop and mobile browsers Design reusable component libraries and design-system integrations that keep UI consistent across multiple product surfaces Own client-side state management and data-fetching architecture using tools like Redux Toolkit, TanStack Query, or Zustand Integrate with REST and GraphQL APIs, negotiating contracts with backend engineers and handling real-world failure states gracefully Instrument and improve Core Web Vitals — bundle size, LCP, INP — using profiling tools and build optimization with Webpack or Vite Write comprehensive tests with Jest and React Testing Library (or Playwright) and participate in rigorous code reviews Collaborate with designers in Figma to prototype, critique, and iterate on user-facing features before they ship What We Are Looking For 3–6 years of professional frontend engineering experience shipping production web applications Deep expertise in React and modern JavaScript/TypeScript, including hooks, performance profiling, and component architecture Hands-on experience with CSS-in-JS or utility frameworks (Tailwind, styled-components) and responsive, accessible layouts (WCAG 2.1) Familiarity with build tooling and CI/CD pipelines for frontend assets — Vite, Webpack, GitHub Actions Experience consuming and debugging REST/GraphQL APIs and handling auth flows (OAuth, JWT) Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent practical experience Bonus: experience with Next.js or server-side rendering, Storybook, e2e testing at scale, or contributing to open-source frontend tooling
