Job description
About this role
About The Role
The role owns the full sales cycle for a B2B SaaS platform that serves engineering and data teams — from qualified pipeline through negotiation, close, and handoff to onboarding.
The account executive carries an individual quota, works closely with solutions engineering and customer success on technical evaluations, and directly shapes how the product is positioned in competitive mid-market and enterprise deals.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage a full-cycle sales motion: prospect engagement, discovery calls, technical demos, procurement, and close
- Build and maintain a qualified pipeline through outbound prospecting, inbound follow-up, and partner-sourced opportunities
- Run discovery with technical stakeholders (VPs of Engineering, CTOs, data leaders) and align the platform's capabilities to their architecture and workflows
- Coordinate evaluations and POCs with solutions engineers, managing multi-threaded deals across 6-12 month enterprise cycles
- Negotiate pricing, legal, and security review with procurement, legal, and infosec teams
- Forecast accurately on a weekly cadence, maintaining rigorous pipeline hygiene in Salesforce
- Partner with customer success on handoffs, expansion opportunities, and reference customers
What We Are Looking For
- 3-8 years of B2B SaaS sales experience, including at least 2 years of full-cycle account executive work with a documented quota track record
- Experience selling to technical buyers or into developer/engineering organizations
- Strong discovery, demo, and negotiation skills; comfortable running multi-threaded deals with technical and economic buyers
- Proficiency with Salesforce or similar CRM, plus modern sales tools (Outreach, Gong, LinkedIn Sales Navigator)
- Excellent written and verbal communication; able to translate technical value into business outcomes
- Bachelor's degree in business, a technical field, or equivalent practical experience
- Bonus: experience with API-first products, usage-based pricing models, or a background in a technical pre-sales role
