Title: Marketing Specialist – RFP & Proposal Development

FT/PT: Part-time

Location: Virginia, Remote

Compensation: $25-$45/hour, commensurate with experience

Looking for a fun and flexible work environment? Dramby Environmental Consulting, Inc. is currently seeking a Marketing Specialist to join our growing team to provide technical support on a variety of RFPs in Virginia and North Carolina.

This role is ideal for a marketing professional who excels at translating complex technical information into compelling proposals, coordinating cross-functional teams, and producing polished, persuasive marketing materials that support business development and growth.

As a key member of our marketing and business development team, you will manage the proposal development process from initial solicitation review through final submission. You will collaborate with technical experts, project managers, and leadership to communicate our expertise, showcase our environmental services, and develop high-quality responses that align with client requirements.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and coordinate responses to RFPs, Requests for Qualifications (RFQs), Requests for Information (RFIs), and other client solicitations.
  • Review solicitation documents to identify requirements, evaluation criteria, submission deadlines, formatting specifications, and compliance considerations.
  • Develop proposal outlines, compliance matrices, schedules, and content plans to keep submissions organized and on track.
  • Write, edit, and proofread proposal narratives, executive summaries, technical approach sections, staff qualifications, project descriptions, and other supporting materials.
  • Collaborate with environmental scientists, engineers, planners, project managers, and subject matter experts to gather technical information and develop compelling, client-focused content.
  • Ensure proposals are accurate, consistent, compliant, visually polished, and submitted on time.
  • Maintain proposal calendars, track deadlines, and manage multiple concurrent assignments.
  • Support the development of qualifications packages, statements of qualifications (SOQs), capability statements, presentations, brochures, and other marketing collateral.
  • Maintain and organize proposal templates, staff resumes, project profiles, corporate qualifications, and standard marketing content.
  • Help communicate the firm's technical capabilities, environmental expertise, and differentiators in ways that resonate with prospective clients.
  • Assist with post-submission activities, including tracking proposal outcomes, gathering feedback, and documenting lessons learned.
  • Facilitate proposal kickoff meetings, establish responsibilities, and communicate expectations and deadlines.
  • Manage competing priorities while maintaining strong attention to detail and quality.

Qualifications

  • Approximately 3–6 years of experience in marketing, proposal coordination, proposal writing, or business development support.
  • Demonstrated experience preparing and coordinating RFP, RFQ, or SOQ responses, preferably in a consulting, engineering, environmental, architecture, or professional services organization.
  • Excellent writing, editing, proofreading, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to interpret complex requirements and translate technical information into clear, concise, persuasive content.
  • Strong project management skills, including the ability to coordinate multiple deadlines and competing priorities.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Teams and related business productivity tools.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with technical and nontechnical audiences.
  • Ability to work independently and maintain productivity in a fully remote environment.
  • Must be authorized to work in the United States.
  • Experience supporting an environmental consulting firm or another technical professional services organization.
  • Familiarity with environmental services such as environmental permitting and compliance, natural resources, ecological assessments, wetlands, water resources, remediation, or environmental planning.
  • Experience working with public-sector, state, federal, municipal, or commercial procurement processes.

To apply, please submit a resume/CV and a short cover letter detailing you’re your experience.
