THE POSITION

CORE REQUIREMENTS AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Include, but are not limited to, the following:

• Collaborating with team members
• Concept sketching
• CAD development
• 3D renderings & visualization
• Physical prototyping
• Client presentation design
• Design-related research,
• Project/team management
• Client relationship development
• Participate in client meetings in a professional, efficient, confident and effective manner.
• Be an active and reliable team member at Design Central

ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS

• Strong portfolio demonstrating a history of problem-solving, good design, sketching ability, form development, manufacturing understanding, and a professional presentation of process and results
• Experience in leading project teams
• Positive, flexible, adaptable, and enthusiastic can-do attitude
• Ability to balance multiple projects
• Strong aesthetic sense
• Aptitude for mechanical development a plus
• Graphic sensitivity and experience with UI a plus
• Candidates should be self-motivated, results-oriented with personal drive
• Effective communicator
• Interest in the big picture and the views of others
• Interdisciplinary team experience
• Desire for growth, improvement, and a goal of lifelong learning

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

• B.S./B.A. in Product Design/ Industrial Design
• 4+ years of experience
• Experience in project management that includes tracking to time and cost targets, as well as, client management

COMPUTER SKILLS

• Proficiency in 3D CAD Software applications, preferably SolidWorks
• Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite software
• Proficiency in MS Office Suite
