Data Scientist Consultant with Active Secret Clearance

Work you'll do

As an Analytics & Insights Engineer II on the team, you will be responsible for:

• Partner with client-aligned and Core Modeling teams to understand incoming data, business questions, and data-pipeline requirements.
• Build, test, and maintain data pipelines that collect, clean, transform, and prepare data for analysis and model development.
• Develop and evaluate statistical, classical regression, and machine learning models supporting workforce forecasting.
• Applying feature engineering, regression analysis, model calibration, and diagnostic testing to create transparent and explainable analytic outputs.
• Capturing and analyzing metrics for data quantities and transfer timelines, system errors, failures, and downtime to support system integrity.

Qualifications

Required:

• Bachelor's degree
• Active Secret Clearance
• 2+ years of experience using Python for statistical analysis and model development, and SQL to query, clean, and prepare data
• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without the need for employer sponsorship, now or at any time in the future

Preferred:

• Technical experience with Python and Machine Learning
• Experience testing artificial intelligence (AI) and data products

This compensation range is specific to Virginia and takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to skill sets; experience and training; licensure and certifications; and other business and organizational needs.

At Deloitte, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range is $84,400 to $140,600.

You may also be eligible to participate in a discretionary annual incentive program, subject to the rules governing the program, whereby an award, if any, depends on various factors, including, without limitation, individual and organizational performance.
