Position Summary
Are you the person people call when a delivery-blocking issue needs to be found fast? As a Backend DevOps & UAT Engineer on ConvergeCONSUMER, you'll be the technical backstop for our product delivery teams - troubleshooting backend issues, owning UAT coordination, and making sure problems get tracked to resolution instead of falling through the cracks.
Recruiting for this role ends on 11/30/2026.
Work you'll do
As the Backend DevOps & UAT Engineer, you will:
- Troubleshoot backend issues surfacing during product delivery and client implementations, working across environments to isolate root cause
- Own User Acceptance Testing (UAT) coordination for product releases, catching and resolving issues before go-live
- Escalate and track defects and delivery blockers across engineering, delivery, and product teams until resolved
- Build and maintain test scripts and scenarios to validate backend functionality ahead of releases
- Partner with delivery teams to validate environment configuration, data, and integration issues during implementations
- Support CI/CD pipeline health and flag recurring failure patterns to engineering
- Document recurring issues and troubleshooting steps to build the team's shared knowledge base
The successful candidate would possess these skills:
- Methodical troubleshooter who can isolate root cause across multiple layers of a system under time pressure
- Comfortable working across engineering, delivery, and product teams to track an issue through to resolution
- Detail-oriented tester who thinks through edge cases and the downstream effects of changes
- Clear written communicator, able to document issues and steps so others can follow them
- Stays calm under pressure when a delivery-blocking issue needs fast triage and escalation
- Continuous-improvement mindset toward reducing recurring issues over time
Qualifications
Required:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- 5+ years of backend development or DevOps experience supporting product delivery or implementation troubleshooting
- Hands-on experience with UAT coordination, defect tracking, and escalation management across engineering and delivery teams
- Ability to travel 0-10%, on average, based on the work you do and the clients and industries/sectors you serve.
- Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without the need for employer sponsorship, now or at any time in the future.
Preferred:
- Experience with CI/CD tooling and pipeline troubleshooting
- Experience supporting client-facing product implementations or deployments
