Technical Project Manager (Fraud & Credit Card Technology Delivery)

Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced Technical Project Manager with expertise in Fraud Management, Credit Card Domain, and Technology Delivery to lead complex, large-scale technology programs. This role requires a blend of project management, business analysis, delivery leadership, planning, estimation, budgeting, and technical oversight.

The ideal candidate will work closely with business stakeholders, product teams, engineering teams, vendors, and external partners to drive successful project execution while ensuring alignment with business objectives, timelines, budgets, and technology strategy.

The role extends beyond traditional project tracking and reporting and requires hands-on involvement in solution planning, technical estimation, release management, risk mitigation, and stakeholder management.

Key Responsibilities

Program & Delivery Management

  • Lead end-to-end delivery of technology initiatives across Fraud, Credit Card, and Payments-related programs.
  • Manage multiple concurrent projects and releases using Agile, Hybrid, and Waterfall methodologies as appropriate.
  • Develop and maintain project plans, timelines, budgets, resource plans, and delivery roadmaps.
  • Coordinate with internal technology teams, business stakeholders, vendors, and service providers to ensure successful project execution.
  • Establish project success metrics and monitor progress against defined objectives.

Planning, Estimation & Budget Management

  • Collaborate with business and technology teams to understand requirements and define project scope.
  • Drive project planning, effort estimation, budgeting, and release scheduling activities.
  • Evaluate and validate technical estimates provided by engineering teams.
  • Ensure releases are planned and executed within approved budgets and timelines.
  • Support portfolio planning and prioritization initiatives.

Technical Leadership

  • Partner with engineering teams to design and deliver scalable technology solutions.

Possess strong understanding of modern technologies including:

  • Microservices Architecture
  • APIs (REST/SOAP)
  • Cloud and On-Prem Platforms
  • Application Support and Production Services
  • Analyze system dependencies, integration points, and solution impacts across multiple applications.
  • Guide trade-off decisions considering business priorities, technical feasibility, customer experience, risk, and maintainability.

Business Analysis & Stakeholder Management

  • Utilize strong Business Analysis skills to understand business problems, use cases, and functional requirements.
  • Work closely with Product Owners, Business Analysts, Systems Analysts, and Technology Leads to define solutions and delivery approaches.
  • Facilitate requirement gathering and impact analysis across multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Communicate project status, risks, dependencies, and recommendations to leadership and stakeholders.
  • Influence decision-making through data-driven insights and effective stakeholder engagement.

Risk & Governance

  • Identify, assess, track, and mitigate project, technology, operational, and delivery risks.
  • Address issues proactively and drive resolution through cross-functional collaboration.
  • Ensure adherence to organizational governance, compliance, security, and regulatory requirements.
  • Support transparency through timely reporting and escalation of project risks and control issues.

Team Collaboration & Leadership

  • Provide leadership and guidance to project teams and junior team members.
  • Facilitate collaboration across business and technology organizations.
  • Foster strong working relationships with stakeholders, vendors, and delivery teams.
  • Drive accountability, ownership, and execution excellence across project teams.

Required Qualifications

  • 8+ years of experience in Technical Project Management, Program Management, or Technology Delivery.
  • Proven experience delivering large-scale enterprise technology programs.
  • Hands-on experience in Fraud Management, Credit Card, Banking, Payments, or Financial Services domains.

Strong experience in:

Experience working in Application Development and/or Application Support environments.

Demonstrated ability to lead requirement gathering and solution planning efforts.

  • Master's Degree preferred.
