QA Engineer 3 Location: San Jose, CA 95110 (Hybrid / Onsite) Duration: 11/01/2026 - 04/30/2027 (Contract) Team: US Digital Global Digital Commerce Job Description Conduct rigorous functional, exploratory, regression, end-to-end, and user acceptance testing on mobile applications. Validate end-to-end mobile app checkout journeys, upsell paths, payment processing, UI responsiveness, and UI design.

Identify, isolate, and document software defects, latency issues, and edge-case transaction failures. Partner with onsite developers, product managers, and engineering teams to troubleshoot issues and track fixes through deployment. Serve as a testing subject matter expert, advising cross-functional stakeholders and client teams on proper test procedures when needed.

Build, execute, and maintain comprehensive manual test plans.

Responsibilities

• Execute manual test cases across Android and iOS devices and simulator environments.
• Validate transactional workflows including checkout, payment processing, and upsell flows.
• Document defects and work with engineering/product teams to reproduce, triage, and verify fixes via bug tracking tools.
• Perform API validation and network inspection to support end-to-end troubleshooting.
• Contribute to test strategy discussions and advise on feature flag and A/B test impacts to QA.

Qualifications

• 3 to 5+ years of QA experience with emphasis on Android and iOS mobile application testing and ecommerce.
• Demonstrated experience testing transactional workflows, ecommerce systems, or payment processing flows, including Apple Pay and Google Pay.
• Hands-on experience troubleshooting software on physical devices and simulator environments.
• Proficiency in API validation and network inspection using tools such as Postman and Charles Proxy.
• Experience using test case management and bug tracking systems (e.g., TestRail, Jira).
• Familiarity with feature flags and A/B testing.
• Mobile applications and QA/testing training.

Preferred Qualifications

Basic familiarity with or exposure to test automation frameworks (Appium, Selenium, Espresso, XCUITest) and eagerness to grow automation skills.
