Job Description:

We are seeking an experienced Registered Nurse (RN) – Behavioral Health for a 9-week travel assignment.

The RN will provide comprehensive, coordinated nursing care to patients in an inpatient behavioral health setting. The nurse will assess patient conditions, develop and implement individualized care plans, administer medications, monitor patient progress, and collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary healthcare teams to ensure safe, high-quality patient care.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct nursing care to patients in an inpatient behavioral health unit.
• Assess, monitor, and document patients' physical and mental health conditions.
• Develop and implement individualized nursing care plans.
• Administer medications and monitor treatment effectiveness.
• Recognize and respond appropriately to psychiatric emergencies and behavioral changes.
• Utilize therapeutic communication and de-escalation techniques.

Required Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in California.
• Minimum 1 year of psychiatric/behavioral health nursing experience.
• Previous inpatient behavioral health experience.
• Inpatient behavioral health EPIC experience required.
• Current AHA-BLS or ARC-BLS certification.
• CPI, TEAM, or TEAM-A certification required. CPI training may be obtained onsite, as applicable.

Schedule & Shift Details

• Shift: Evening Shift
• Hours: 3:00 PM – 11:30 PM
• Schedule: 5 shifts per week (8-hour shifts)
• Weekly Hours: 40 hours
• Days: No fixed days; schedule may vary.
• Weekends: Typically every other weekend.
• Floating: Not required.
• On-Call: Not required.

Pay: $2,550.00 - $2,700.00 per week
