Automotive Dealership Accounting Manager

Job Overview

We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Automotive Dealership Accounting Manager to oversee HR and daily accounting operations. This role requires strong leadership skills and a solid understanding of automotive dealership accounting practices.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily accounting operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger management.
• Assist Controller to ensure accurate and timely preparation of financial statements, reports, and reconciliations.
• Maintain compliance with federal, state, and local financial regulations and dealership policies.
• Coordinate audits and implement recommendations for process improvements.
• Manage and mentor accounting staff to ensure high performance and professional development.
• Collaborate with sales, service, and management teams to support financial planning and analysis.
• Monitor cash flow and manage banking relationships.
• Manage HR, benefit payments and 401K contributions.
• Post Deals and ensure contract compliance along with tracking CIT.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in automotive dealership accounting.
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial regulations, and dealership operations.
• Proficiency in accounting software systems and MS Office applications.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
• Strong knowledge of HR, payroll, benefits and 401K.
