Acute Care Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant

Role: Acute Care Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant for a multidisciplinary cardiovascular surgery team. Key Duties Provide patient assessments across outpatient clinic/outreach and inpatient settings. Perform inpatient rounding and support care for cardiac, thoracic, transplant, and vascular surgery patients.

Participate in operating room responsibilities. Develop and implement treatment plans. Order and interpret diagnostic tests and prescribe medications.

Educate patients and document clinical care accurately. Contribute to on-call coverage and support quality improvement activities. Qualifications & Skills Ability to manage acute care patients in complex surgical specialties.

Strong clinical decision-making, patient assessment, and treatment planning skills. Proficiency in ordering tests/medications, documentation, and patient education. Effective communication and teamwork across care settings (clinic, inpatient, OR).
