Key Responsibilities:
- Genetec Administration: Administer and maintain Genetec Security Center across access control and video environments, including adding and modifying devices and cameras, configuring hardware, and ensuring system integrations remain healthy.
- User & Role Management: Manage roles, permissions, and user lifecycle activities while upholding least-privilege access principles and maintaining audit readiness.
- Troubleshooting & Support: Diagnose and resolve connectivity, configuration, and mechanical issues across controllers, readers, cameras, and intercom endpoints; coordinate with vendors as needed for timely resolution.
- System Maintenance: Plan and execute system updates, firmware upgrades, and patching activities, including validation of rollback plans and adherence to change management processes.
- Intercom Management: Provision and manage intercom systems through Sipelia, optimizing call routing, audio quality, and system availability.
- Reporting & Compliance: Develop and deliver operational reports related to events, alarms, access audits, and uptime to support stakeholders and compliance requirements.
- Third-Party Integration Support: Oversee third-party plug-ins, including video analytics and biometric integrations, ensuring compatibility, performance, and licensing compliance.
- Key Management Administration: Administer key management solutions and workflows, ensuring chain-of-custody controls, auditing, and incident procedures are followed.
- Documentation & Knowledge Sharing: Maintain configuration standards, technical documentation, and runbooks while contributing to the knowledge base for global support teams.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with facilities, security operations, and network teams to diagnose cross-domain issues and drive timely, effective resolution.
Qualifications:
- 3–5+ years of hands-on experience supporting Genetec enterprise environments at scale, including multi-site and multi-region deployments.
- Strong experience with Genetec Security Center administration across access control and video platforms.
- Strong familiarity with and/or certifications related to Genetec Enterprise Systems, ClearID, Axis, Mercury, 2N, HID, Fargo, Life Safety Power, Idemia, Princeton Identity, KeyWatcher, Traka, and Assa Abloy.
- Proficiency in core operational areas including device provisioning, camera and access control configuration, role and user management, patching/firmware updates, and incident troubleshooting.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a customer-focused mindset.
- Clear written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to work across technical and non-technical teams.
- Experience collaborating with vendors and internal cross-functional teams in change-controlled environments.
- Bachelor’s degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Preferred Experience
- Experience supporting system conversions and migrations, including platform consolidations, controller and reader transitions, and camera fleet refresh initiatives.
- Knowledge of OSDP, SIP, TCP, SQL, HTTPS, Reverse Transfer Printing, RFID Encoding, and Facial Biometrics.
- Exposure to video analytics, biometric authentication workflows, and plug-in lifecycle management.
- Experience creating documentation, operational standards, and runbooks.
- Experience coaching or supporting Level 1/Level 2 support teams.
Why Join Us
This is a strong opportunity to join a growing physical security technology environment supporting a large-scale Genetec access control and video ecosystem. You’ll play a key role in maintaining and enhancing critical security infrastructure, partnering with facilities, security operations, network teams, and vendors to deliver reliable, secure, and scalable services.
