Position summary
Antique Building Solutions is a made-to-order manufacturer that turns reclaimed lumber into ready-to-install building materials. We are hiring a Production Data Analyst to convert sales orders into accurate work orders and provide the data that guides production, purchasing, and sales planning.
Key responsibilities
- Translate sales orders into complete, accurate work orders for production.
- Verify specifications, dimensions, and quantities for each line item.
- Calculate and scale the production materials needed for each order.
- Track down missing or conflicting order details from sales, or directly from customers, before work begins.
- Track and update order trends by product and line item.
- Deliver metrics that help production with scheduling, procurement, and planning.
- Provide sales with order data that supports pricing and lead-time estimates.
- Build and maintain accurate spreadsheets, reports, and dashboards.
- Own tasks to completion, or delegate with clear context and follow up until done.
- Document recurring processes and look for ways to reduce manual work.
Required qualifications
Accuracy is the core of this role. Orders depend on exact specifications, dimensions, and quantities, and one wrong number can mean rework or a missed delivery date.
- Strong math skills. Confident, accurate work with fractions and decimals, unit conversions, ratios, percentages, and linear, area, and volume measurements.
- Exceptional attention to detail. A track record of producing work that is right the first time, and the habit of double-checking numbers before they go out.
- Advanced spreadsheet skills. Comfortable with Excel or Google Sheets formulas, lookups, pivot tables, and cleaning up messy data.
- Persistence in problem-solving. Willing to research, ask questions, and dig in until a problem is fully resolved, or to route it to the right person and follow up.
- Ability to interpret orders and specifications. Reads sales orders and product details carefully and turns them into clear, actionable instructions.
- Clear communication. Explains numbers and findings simply, in writing and in person, to production, sales, and management.
- Self-directed organization. Manages many orders and deadlines at once with minimal supervision.
Preferred qualifications
None of these are required, but each one helps.
- Background in manufacturing, production planning, or inventory control.
- Experience with building materials, lumber, millwork, or other made-to-order products.
- Familiarity with bills of materials, cut lists, or production scheduling.
- Basic SQL or scripting skills, and an interest in automating repetitive tasks.
- Degree or coursework in mathematics, business, data analytics, engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
What success looks like
- Production receives work orders that are complete and correct, with few questions or corrections needed.
- Material pulls match exactly what each order requires.
- Production and purchasing plan ahead using metrics they trust.
- Sales quotes prices and lead times backed by real order data.
- Problems are caught early and closed out, not left half-finished.

Benefits:
