Internship Job title: Software Engineer Intern – MyBiz , Summer 2027 Department/Division: Technology / ABO Product Engineering & Tools Location: Ada, MI (Onsite) Note: This position is an office role, and you must be able to report in-person to Ada on Mondays through Thursdays, with Friday as a remote optional day What’s Special About This Team The MyBiz team develops applications and technology solutions that support Amway Business Owners (ABOs) and key business initiatives.
Working closely with business stakeholders, the team helps translate business needs into technology solutions while supporting a multi-year roadmap of enhancements and enterprise initiatives, including Next Gen projects.
The team operates in a collaborative Agile environment where software developers, analysts, testers, and other technology professionals work together to deliver solutions that support business objectives and improve the user experience. The team's work directly contributes to bringing new capabilities and enhancements into production, creating tangible business impact.
Unlike many internships, you won't be assigned practice projects or isolated tasks. You'll work on real initiatives pulled directly from the team's roadmap and have the opportunity to see your contributions move through the development lifecycle and potentially into production.
This is a chance to gain hands-on experience with enterprise-scale software development while building meaningful accomplishments you can showcase long after your internship ends.
How would an intern contribute to the team’s success
The Software Engineer Intern will contribute to active roadmap initiatives and enterprise projects, including enhancements supporting the Next Gen initiative. Working alongside experienced technology professionals, the intern will participate in the full development lifecycle, gaining exposure to how requirements are gathered, prioritized, developed, and delivered.
Based on business priorities and individual interests, the intern will support the design, development, research, and implementation of technology solutions that address business and stakeholder needs.
An Example Of a Typical Project Would Be Example #1 Contribute to enhancements supporting Amway's Next Gen initiative and broader technology roadmap Example #2 Assist with the development of user interface (UI) solutions that improve the experience for business users and stakeholders. Example #3 Explore and support AI-related development opportunities while researching and implementing technology solutions for business needs.
Required Skills And Background Desired Majors: Computer Science (CS), Computer Engineering (CE), or Management / Computer Information Systems (MIS / CIS) Technical Skills Foundational software engineering and programming interest/knowledge. Interest in AI development and emerging technologies. Interest in user interface (UI) development.
General technology aptitude and technical curiosity. Coursework or foundational knowledge in Computer Science, Information Technology, or Data Science. Soft Skills Curiosity and a strong desire to learn new technologies and business processes.
Adaptability and comfort working in a fast-paced Agile environment. Collaboration and communication skills to work effectively with developers, analysts, and business stakeholders. Amway does not provide immigration-related sponsorship for this role.
