Accounting Manager

Duties

• Manage general ledger accounting, journal entries, accrual accounting, bookkeeping, accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and bank and balance sheet reconciliations.
• Prepare and interpret financial statements and reports; conduct account analysis, financial analysis, cash flow analysis, budgeting, and forecasting.
• Apply generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP), accounting standards, and relevant compliance requirements; support auditing, regulatory reporting, and Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) reporting as applicable.
• Maintain accounting systems and financial software, including Sage or Xero, and use Microsoft Office and spreadsheets to organize and analyze data.
• Handle confidential information carefully and mentor accounting team members.

Requirements

• Accounting and finance experience, including financial accounting, corporate accounting, financial management, and accounting systems.
• Knowledge of debits and credits, double-entry bookkeeping, account reconciliation, general ledger reconciliation, and financial concepts.
• Experience with financial report writing and interpretation, tax, public accounting, or financial services is valuable.
• Familiarity with Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX), international or governmental accounting, nonprofit accounting, Low-Income Housing Tax Credit (LIHTC), private equity, corporate finance, securities law, or wills, trusts, and estate law is preferred.
• Demonstrated financial acumen, sound judgment, and ability to manage compliance and reporting responsibilities.

Pay: $75,000.00 - $90,500.00 per year
